#SMECom Presentation

For the past three months, I have been working on a team teaching project called “Social Media E-Commerce,” or #SMECom. The project has fascinated me, as I learned about the Want button, Tango Card, and F-Commerce. To learn more about each of these three points, I encourage you to check out my group’s Slideshare presentation on #SMECom:

After viewing the presentation, it becomes apparent that the amount of social media commerce that already exists is overwhelming. Companies are trying to reinvent the term “E-commerce” to satisfy customers, who are not always as trustworthy as they seem.
To compile this presentation, my group used a variety of social tools. Obviously, we used Slideshare as a sharing platform for our presentation. However, we used both Google Documents and Keynote to create the actual presentation. Google Docs helped us all view and edit our presentation together for content. Keynote was used more for stylizing our presentation.
We also used Pearltrees to curate material. Our Pearltree is as such:
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Overall, the use of social media tools, including Google Docs and Pearltrees, helped us build a successful and one-of-a-kind presentation that was built on collaboration and curation. To plan for our presentation, our group used Google Hangouts to meet with each other and our professor. Using the screen share app available through that service, we were able to simultaneously view a presentation while running through it.
Without the social tools used to curate, create and monitor our material, we could never have had the presentation for #SMECom be so elaborate. I am so proud of our group and I hope you find our presentation fascinating!
